Bob Dylan and Roger Waters were the ones that immediately came to mind. Amazing songwriters, good musicians, incredibly famous and terrible singers. I don’t think Dylan was actually tone-deaf, he just only was able to sing in one register. Waters had the opposite problem, he had good range but couldn’t find the right note with a GPS.
