Very true. Management will tolerate a suboptimal product that brings in some revenues as oppose to a possibly better product that hasn’t been tested on the market. In software developments, there are “strategic” vs “tactical” decisions to be made. Often the suboptimal or even incorrect “tactical” decisions got rushed and a product is born. Its very, very hard to change direction after that for a strategic product.
