How to Change CMYK to RGB in Adobe Illustrator

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) and RGB (Red, Green, Blue) are two different color models used in graphic design. CMYK is used for print media, while RGB is used for digital media. If you have an image or document that is in CMYK color mode and you need to use it in a digital project, you will need to convert it to RGB color mode.

Here is how to change CMYK to RGB in Adobe Illustrator:

  1. Select the object or image you want to convert.
  2. Go to Edit > Edit Colors > Convert to RGB.
  3. The object or image will now be in RGB color mode.

Additional Tips:

  • You can also convert an entire document to RGB by going to File > Document Color Mode > RGB.
  • If you want to preserve the CMYK colors, you can create a copy of the object or image and convert the copy to RGB, or you can use a color conversion tool that preserves the CMYK colors.
  • Make sure that the image or document you are converting is properly calibrated. If the colors are not calibrated, the conversion to RGB may not be accurate.

By following these steps, you can easily convert CMYK to RGB in Adobe Illustrator and ensure that your images and documents look their best in digital media.
