How to Change Line Color in Adobe Illustrator

Changing the line color in Adobe Illustrator is a simple process that can be done in a few different ways. Here are three methods you can use to change the line color of your selected objects:

Method 1: Using the Tools Panel

The Tools panel in Illustrator is a quick and easy way to change the line color of your selected objects. Simply click on the “Stroke” color box in the Tools panel, and a color picker will appear. Select the desired color from the color picker, and the line color of your selected objects will be changed instantly.

Method 2: Using the Swatches Panel

The Swatches panel is another useful tool for changing the line color of your selected objects. Open the Swatches panel by clicking on the “Window” menu and selecting “Swatches.” The Swatches panel displays a collection of predefined colors and swatches that you can apply to your objects. Simply click on the desired color swatch to change the line color of your selected objects.

Method 3: Using the Color Picker

The Color Picker is a comprehensive tool for selecting and creating custom colors. To access the Color Picker, double-click on the “Stroke” color box in the Tools panel or the Swatches panel. The Color Picker will appear, allowing you to choose from a wide range of pre-defined colors, adjust hue, saturation, and brightness, or create a custom color by entering numerical values. Once you have selected the desired color, click “OK” to apply it to your selected objects.

In addition to these main methods, you can also change the line color of your selected objects by using the Adobe Illustrator Eyedropper tool. The Eyedropper tool allows you to sample the color of any object in your document and apply it to your selected objects. Simply click on the Eyedropper tool, and then click on the desired object to sample its color.
