That pot may be the fact that someone will start talking in your terms, some others will start saying how relevant it is to stop for a moment and analyse before creating things very fast, some others will support the user research and little by little you will realize you are actually influencing people’s way of working — And that’s why it takes so long, but it is totally worth it!
Third, keep working even though you are not fully understood. Keep proposing “crazy” creative workshops. Keep talking about mapping “our customers experience”. Keep it strong. On time all that effort will get you some results. Time is very important here. Maybe it feels like it works against you at the beginning, since progress can be very slow, but if you are patient and sometimes pushy enough you might find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
