Terrorizing Ourselves?

Marcela, thank you for writing this piece. I was there that night as well coming off a flight from London at around 9:30. We didn’t leave the airport until around 2 am. What has been so difficult for me is communicating the emotional trauma caused by that event to friends and family, because they always say the same thing “but nothing actually happened”. Even though the gunshots/terrorist/whatever wasn’t real, the fear and terror real. Very real. I’ve never experienced anything like it, and hope to never again.
