Why Educators Probably Shouldn’t Use Minecraft In Their Classrooms
Michael Macfadden

I tried out using Minecraft in my 8th grade algebra class a few years ago. It definitely was a little clunky to set up and configure properly on our network, but I think it really reached a few kids who wouldn’t have had previously any interest in math.

Would I use it as a daily tool? No way, but for a brief moment I got a difficult student to care about probability and statistics. That alone made it worth it to me.
