Trump Dump: Why the FUCK…Do We Care What Any of Donald Trump’s Kids Think?
Well, why the FUCK…do we care what any of Donald Trump’s kids think? I can only think of three reasons.
- They paint a great picture of a wonderful, caring man who deserves credit for not being a—thanks Lindsay Graham—”racist, xenophobic bigot.”
- They have all said on repeated occasions that they are part of a family business and a team, which leads any rational human being to guess that at it is quite probable one or all of them will occupy high cabinet posts.
- Ivanka is supposedly an advocate for womens’ rights.
This is all bullshit, and I will address them in order.
Number one, ask yourself seriously, who the fuck, other than possibly Dick Cheney’s lesbian daughter, is going to sit down in front of a living soul other than the person with whom they have had babies, and do anything but sing the praises of their father when they have had a fantastic childhood? No, really, consider it: even if he was a dick—and Dick Cheney’s lesbian daughter is a fantastic example of this to capitalize on the word “dick”, because it’s both her father’s name and he lacked the scrotal nortocode to back up her lifestyle—who is going to do, at the very least, abstain from comment unless they were raped. For christsake, the only one who doesn’t have greased back Trump-esque hair is Ivanka, and that’s only because it would be a horror show.
So please, if you don’t mind, spare me the platitudes about how wonderful your father Donald has been to you. This is meaningless, pandering political babble, and for someone like Greta Van Sustren to have Ivanka on to talk about how amazing her dad is amounts to nothing more than a media joke. To quote Chris Rock, “A [man] will brag about stuff an ordinary man just does. He’ll say shit like ‘I take care of my kids.’ YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKER.” I would say my father is a great man too, and has probably accomplished more in his life than I ever will in my field. The most average kid whose dad is a possible president would do the same, particularly when they are part of an incredibly nepotistic, highly lucrative business.
So…duh. They love and respect their father. Great. Terribly sorry, I would like a second opinion…
Also, realize that they have been groomed from youth to be in charge. Whether they actually respect his views or not, who the fuck will ever know? The only person whose word I will take less about their personal integrity than the individual is their “I’m the highly socially and economically placed” kids.
Perhaps his kids are lovely people, perhaps not. Don’t even pretend that because they are trained executives who know how to speak executive-ese that sounding sincere or being sincere is worth a damn in terms of forming a reasonable political opinion for a citizen of this fair country. Find me someone who can say what they say who isn’t the man’s kid and I’m paying attention long enough to do research. Other than that, fuck off.
And moving on to Ivanka. It doesn’t feel—ironically—PC to bash a strong, blonde, former model and powerful executive (because her dad gave her the position) mother who is intelligent and seemingly nice. She may be great; I have no idea. All evidence points to her being an upstanding straight-shooter. What I do know, is that her getting credit for being a women’s rights progressive is the biggest crock of shit I have ever had the displeasure of having to auger out of my central nervous system.
How a woman who says in 2016 that “women should be paid equally to men” constitutes an activist and proponent of women’s rights is an insult to every woman in the trenches who has been eating years of shit on issues far more sophisticated than that but doesn’t have the microphone she has. WOMEN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE PAID THE SAME YOU DUMB MOTHERFUCKER! What makes you an activist is dumping money, time and influence into the cause, not just saying it into a microphone. That makes you an average person in 2016, not an activist.
I recently read several transcripts of interview of her giving advice to women—theoretically—about how to succeed in “a man’s world”. Do you know what her advice was? Not a damn thing that you wouldn’t tell a man to be successful. Furthermore, she is preaching from the advantage of being handed a post, not earning it. That is antithetical to the notion that she has figured out how to get ahead as a woman. Now don’t get me wrong. She may be highly capable, but that doesn’t change the fact that daddy being the boss and arriving in her position out of thin air doesn’t exactly make her an expert on the advancement of women in the workplace. I have worked for a woman who powered her way to the top of a man’s world—Marin Alsop has a hell of a lot more to teach women about getting ahead in life that Ivanka Trump.
Basically, the fact that his kids are getting any airtime at all is a complete joke. They are his kids. They are the last ones you want to ask about their father’s worthiness to be president, much less their ignorant or nonexistent geopolitical positions. They know nothing about domestic or international politics, and as such are nothing more than pom-pom-wielding spawn. But I will offer this tantalizing observation:
Notice that Trump’s wife has been conspicuously absent from all press interviews, particularly after her speech at the RNC. Why? Well, she’s not a trained public speaker. In fact, she apparently can’t be trained because she doesn’t know what plagiarism is. Why is that? Why do they continually forward his kids to pick up his pieces and sing his praises when his wife—whom one would think—would be most capable of singing the man’s praises from the heart rather than the teleprompter?
Answer: because his kids are good with the press and she sucks. Plain and simple. And once you realize that, you realize everything. If his kids sucked with the press, they wouldn’t be talking. If they’re talking because they’re good with the press, then you have to question the motives of someone who thinks about it that way, and also has that little faith in his wife’s ability to express honestly how great the Don really is.
