Sadly, most of society doesn’t even have the reading comprehension skill to understand this — the causes are systemic inequality — racism, capitalism, greed, religion — perpetuated by lies. I don’t write untruths, misstatements, etc. — lies are intentional, evil, malignant. The cancer that has infected society has metastasized — Trump the Giant Orange Tumor — always present but just beneath the skin, his propaganda bursts the facade, as it were, the reality of metaphor usurped by the collective delusion of flashing screens.
