I Am Not The Smartest Person In The Room
Jon Westenberg 🌈

I’d even go a step simpler and say it’s plain bad tactics. By yelling for all the world to hear you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re putting a big’ole target on your back. People will be more critical of you, and when you (inevitably) mess up, you’ve already shot yourself in the foot as the mistake does not jive with the narrative of you being the smartest in the room.

You then lost credibility, something very important and very difficult to gain back.
