The Truth About been an Architect…

From great power comes great responsibility…
Sitting in front of my computer one regular day this thought came to my mind, what is really the porpouse of all this information in my head, in a world where every body its allways talking about others actions, procedures and opinions.
I remember the reading article that mourning, “Architects must urgently leave their desks to get out on the ground, in the opinion of our readers” where first opinion was:
“Point of view 1: The technical knowledge is actually received in practice, and learning in theoretical terms is not sufficient” this is truth, all architecture schools teach you to built fantastic buildings, massive urban project but don’t get to to the thing that your future clients have an limited budget, and heres were creativity explode when you satisfied you client’s needs with what you get to.
“Point of view 2: Constructive knowledge should increase the efficiency of projects, but without sacrificing good design”: heres were the power of investigation come to action, heres where you without any idea and much fear you came to an design process, a process call BIM that every body learn in the way, working hard to get a pristine job, and meeting great people in the same state of mide that you to talk, share and compare thoughts.
“Point of view 3: Architects do not have to know everything, and we can consult or learn from the specialists” and in this point I’m not agree, cause we are the specialist, yes, we have to know everything, colours, forms, compositions, materials, textures, architects are the fashion designers of our environment, we create for humans, for nature, architects have the first and last words of creation, so that why knowledge ist so important for us.
Been an achitect in this technological era has big responsibility, its like having a superpower, to be a superhero, it depends on me that you don’t feel uncomfortable in your home, or walking on the streets, or sleeping at night, your home and the city where you live are your shelters, and are design by architects, so my humble opinion is: We as achitects are responsible of designing for humanity, for earth, and we set the agenda for the well used of our power: the knowledge we manage for human wellness.
