Lessons are everywhere and as you point out, they’re more valuable when a leader creates a friendly, non-hostile environment for their team. In my experience, a mistake many junior managers make is assuming they have to play the role of tough guy/gal, instead of coach/teacher. Strong leaders support their staff and fight to ensure their teams are supported and comfortable as they learn. Great story, thanks for sharing Brian.
