Apple’s New File System: Who Cares?

Well done Jean-Louis Gassée . Very important development since everything including the OS builds off of the underlying storage model. However, I’m still unclear why not ZFS for Apple. There was an opportunity to adopt a more open and scalable solution into the future. Furthermore, APFS hopefully will carry many of the NIX commands over. https://arstechnica.com/apple/2016/06/a-zfs-developers-analysis-of-the-good-and-bad-in-apples-new-apfs-file-system/ Thanks Adam Leventhal
