“Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins” (Hebrews 10:11)
During the period of Moses, the law was introduced and God asked the Israelites to follow those laws diligently. It consisted of many commandments and rituals. Hence, it was not easy for them to follow all these laws and they eventually became defaulters in fulfilling them. So the sacrifices they offered did not cleanse their sins permanently and in result the sacrifices continued every year. But when Christ came, he fulfilled the Law by giving his one life as a sacrifice on the cross. The many sacrifices did not take away their sins, but the one sacrifice of Christ took away the sins of whole mankind! Thus, we who believe in him now, are saved freely by grace. When we believe in Christ, our sins are forgiven and in turn we will receive the blessings of eternal life. Hence, let us spread this good news to others, so that they will also receive the eternal blessings. Amen!
