“For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, ‘The Lord said to my Lord: ‘Sit at my right hand…” (Acts 2:34)

One of the strong Christian hope is ‘resurrection’. When Jesus was put to death, he knew that he will be resurrected. After three days, he was resurrected in the spiritual body. Since then, the followers of Jesus Christ also have that same hope. So they believe and do His will. But, we may be curious to know when this resurrection will take place! Scripture says elsewhere that the resurrection in Christ will occur only at the blow of the seventh trumpet, which is also the last one (Ref: 1 Corinthians 15:52). However, still some get confused that the resurrection already taken place for a few faithful. The above verse of Peter sheds light on this topic, it says that David did not ascend to heaven! Indeed, the resurrection is of future event when God’s Kingdom will be initiated. If we believe and work, we will resurrect and ascend to heaven at the last trumpet. Amen!
