“I lift up my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1, 2)

We feel disappointed when someone whom we trust, reject us. The human nature is unpredictable. The same person we once loved and trusted, may rise against us. At that time we may be left alone and feel insecure that no one is there for us to care for. Everyone in our life would have been in that situation at one point of time. Some even take extreme steps to end their disappointments. But hold on! The Bible says our help does not come from any human being, rather it comes ‘from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth’. How comforting these words are! In any depressing situation, we can trust Him. King David always trusted God and thus he was able to overcome many challenges in his life. At times of trouble, we must never forget to lift up our eyes. Indeed, God will strengthen us when we are in need. Amen!
