“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12)

Being young and walking in the path of God is a blessing. At the same time, youngsters can easily be blamed. Hence, Paul advises young Timothy to set an example for believers in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity. If we comb through the scriptures, many young men have shown their zeal towards God and proved their faithfulness. Joshua guided the Israel nation after Moses, King Josiah cleansed the kingdom from the defilement when he was very young. Thus, many young people served God and we read about them throughout the scriptures. In fact, Jesus was young when he started preaching the gospel. In the fulness of his youth, he gave his life for us. Truly, Jesus is the best example for all youngsters. When we accept his teachings and walk according to it, we can set an example for believers as well as many others. Amen!
