How to Easily Get More REAL Google Reviews for Your Business
Google Reviews
Google reviews are important, they’re the driver to your site before the actual experience.
Everyone knows that you never get a review until you have that ONE mistake that completely pisses off a customer and they grill you online.
How is that fair?
It’s not, and it can really hurt your business.
So, how do we get our happy customers to stop what they’re doing and leave a review?
Well, I am going to share some tips with you that can add reviews to your Google listing, the RIGHT way.
Before we start, please keep these reminders handy so you don’t get flagged by Google:
- Don’t receive more than 5 new reviews a week. Google will get suspicious if you suddenly get a rapid influx of reviews
- Reviews don’t have to be 8 sentences with proper grammar and punctuation. If you’re a restaurant a review even saying “food was great” is still great for your business
- Don’t use Google reviews on your site, Google doesn’t like when you recycle reviews onto your site.
- They must have a Google account they’re logged into or the review will not show up
3 Tips to Increase Google Leads
After many clients and improving SEO in different industries we have a few tricks for gathering more reviews, we want to share these with you, for free.
— Link Generator: https://bit.ly/2wR6IQ1
- Thank You Notes — Add the link to your invoices or thank you messages you send to clients after working with them. Also, if you’re not sending thank you messages to all of your clients, start.
- Social Media — Start dropping the link in a private message or DM of customers that mention you on social media that they had a good time/ experience. You already know they loved you, 9/10 they won’t mind leaving a quick review.
- Direct Link — Use a direct link to generate a link that takes users directly to the review page of your listing. This works best on a desktop but it will still take them to the listing on mobile, they just have to click “review”.

These are 3 SIMPLE tips that take no time at all and can easily generate 1–3 new reviews a month which can lead to 4–12 a month and 48–144 a year. Also, there will be all positive reviews which means when you do get a negative review it will be less likely to affect your ratings and business.
But, what if I don’t work with many clients because I am higher ticket?
Good question,
Then you need a more personalized process.
If you’re like us and your projects are a lot longer than you become a lot closer with your clients over time.
At some point of the end of the project, you have a “final meeting”, at that meeting simply ask them if they will leave you a review.
Tell them you can easily shoot them a text or email them the link, chances are they will leave one right there with you.
Lastly, if you have a high ticket item service and don’t serve as many clients you need to make sure they leave a longer, well-written review that will help cold traffic see the value and opportunity in choosing your company.
You want to make sure it’s professional, authentic, and descriptive. Ask them to list 2–3 things they loved about working with you.
How many reviews is enough?
I would say you need AT LEAST 25 reviews and once you hit 125+ you don’t have to actively reach out for reviews anymore.
Once that happens I would focus on building your reviews on Facebook and Yelp. These two platforms are just as important for other reasons.
In Conclusion:
To wrap this up, reviews are important, no matter what business you’re in.
90% of the time potential customers are going to Google you, let’s make sure they see a bunch of reasons why they should hire/ visit/ use you.
Remember:
- Reviews don’t have to be written by Shakespeare unless you’re a higher ticket client then they should be longer and more descriptive.
- Be genuine, provide an amazing product/ service and good customer experience before expecting good reviews
- Don’t be that person and annoy people with spammy messages asking them for reviews.
Goodluck!
