I went to Ling in Temple in January 2019 and was amazed. Let me tell you why.

I’ve been to my fair share of temple in Asia. Cambodian temples, Japanese temples, Korean Temples and Chinese temples. However, visiting Lingyin Temple was refreshing from all other temples. This temple is surrounded by Fei Lai’s peak, where plenty of rock carvings to be admired.

Beautiful rock carvings of Fei Lai’s peak

As you can see, it’s a pleasure for the eyes and - oh boy - this one’s really a frankeinstein of a fllm. I mean, for you guys, it probably just looks like an ordinary youtube video but for me, making it was pulling many parts together. I filmed all of the shots you see in January 2019 but edited the film in July 2019.

What took so long in between? TRAVEL.

I travelled to so many places: Chengdu, Cambodia, South-Korea (almost North-Korea), Thailand and Japan. I made videos on most of these places so I never finished the one on Lingyin Temple. This was the time, however, for me to take some old footage and use my newly developed editing and storytelling skills to tell the story of my travel to Lingiyn Temple in this edition of the Travel Vlog.
