Soon after newly elected officials were sworn in on a board that for the first time has three female elected officials, County Supervisors proceeded to tackle three contentious matters about safety with aplomb.

They acknowledged Falona Simmons, whose son died last month as Department of Child Support Services “Employee of the Month”, Adopted and presented a resolution recognizing January 2023 as Positive Parenting Awareness Month in Solano County (Supervisor Erin Hannigan made the presentation) and Adopted a resolution recognizing the month of January 2023 as National Human Trafficking Prevention Month in Solano County which Supervisor Brown described as not only a problem in America but abroad.

In 1988 this journalist’s work in identification of the global scourge of Human Traffickers of African women in Europe was recognized by the Commonwealth Journalist Association, CJA.

In collaboration with Udo C.
