Horseshoe crabs’ icy-blue blood will remain the drug industry’s standard for safety tests after a powerful US group ditched a plan to give equal status to a synthetic substitute pushed by Swiss biotech Lonza and animal welfare groups.
The crabs’ copper-rich blood clots in the presence of bacterial endotoxins and has long been used in tests to detect contamination in shots and infusions.
More recently, man-made versions called recombinant Factor C (rFC) from Basel-based Lonza and others have emerged.
An industry battle has been brewing, as another testing giant, Lonza’s US-based rival Charles River Laboratories, has criticized the synthetic option on safety grounds.
This is crucial especially when viewed against the backdrop that this new Scientist, yes that is what I am, was involved in research and communications, between 2015 and 2017, that highlighted how copper from brake pads is toxic to seafood especially shell fish like crab. That copper is also found in unregulated sex toys imported from Taiwan and other Asian nations. And that kind of sex toy is what my ex used to backstab our son while I prayed for him in September 2013. Imagine that Sex Toy was probably weaponized, being mailed across borders. Imagine the recipient of that weaponized phallus discarding that copper ridden toy in the water. That is more poison for the food we ingested. This is a big secret and covered up by the Feds, who simply are climate change deniers. And yes Coronavirus is most likely linked to Toxic Shellfish from copper and carbonated transmissions under sea, an area of study by my brother Professor Clement Edokpayi. Now you know why in the last five years they have been trying to silence me. So far 100, 000 people have died, and many more will die because of Climate Change Deniers by the Federal Government.
