As a journalist who has worked in some major media markets in the USA I know there is a lot of subjective reporting on African issues by American journalists. In 2014, I was among a group of Nigerian journalists that were interviewed by Tracie Powell of the NABJ and Angela Rae of D.C. Breakdown. While both reporters were enthusiastic about their reports some of the slants and cleverly crafted headlines need to be critically reviewed.
