Meet Ben Quinton: Freelance Art & Photography Instructor

Ben Quinton (J. Benjamin Quinton) is a Freelance Art & Photography Instructor driven by a passion for outdoor creativity. What’s ‘outdoor creativity’ you ask? It’s Quinton’s own unique style of out-of-the-classroom learning that immerses art students into nature!

Art Teacher

Ben Quinton is an Art Teacher and Freelance Art/Photography Instructor. Quinton’s classes go over everything from basic art concepts and design concepts to deep dives into the elements of art. Quinton primarily teaches his classes in the Kansas area; but he hopes to offer web-based courses soon, so that he can connect with artists from all over the world! A hallmark of Quinton’s approach to teaching art and photography is that he opts to teach his classes outdoors, in nature. It comes as no surprise to anyone who knows Quinton; this artist is an all-around outdoor enthusiast! As a Nature Photographer, the Art Instructor finds that there is no better classroom than the great outdoors. He teaches his classes at various national parks in Kansas, including: Brown v. Education, Fort Larned, Fort Scott and Nicodemus.

David Attenborough Fan

Ben Quinton’s documentarian style approach to art and photography is largely inspired by his idol: David Attenborough! Quinton is a huge fan of documentaries by David Attenborough. His favorites include: Frozen Planet, Prehistoric Planet, Zoo Quest in Color and Planet Earth. The Art Instructor and Nature Photographer hopes to one day document his own world travel in a project similar to Attenborough’s iconic style.
