Consciousness (Spirit) Is God, Individualized As You. We Are Elohim, The Godhead
The intelligence that moves dead matter is consciousness, the soul. When the soul leaves the physical body, all the spirit’s connections to the body are no longer there. Being “brain dead” simply means no consciousness present, despite the brain still being there. This proves that the physical body is not what feels, although the body does react when the soul that feels is connected to it. So in reality, even though we inhabit a physical body, we are essentially spiritual beings, even while in a physical body. As spiritual beings, we are part and parcel of the One God who is all-in-all. Our nature is the same as God’s, eternal and loving, without beginning and without end. We are, collectively and as individuals, the Godhead.
You might say, What about the bad people? They too are part of the Godhead. Do they not create bad things just like you aspire to create only good things? Do they get what they think and desire, like you do? Yes, they do. We are all free, which is the nature of God, to choose good or evil. If we had no choice, then we would be robots. And one cannot have a relationship with a robot that has no soul or consciousness. No one constrains God except himself….that’s us. If we are constrained, it’s because we have allowed it. Our example of a perfect God-Man is Jesus Christ and this is what he said regarding his life appearing to be constrained by his captors, “No one takes my life from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.” John 10:18 We’re in the same boat as Christ. We are each an individualized manifestation of God. We decide when, how and where we will leave our body too, either consciously if we are enlightened, or unconsciously if not enlightened. People who die undesirable deaths have really desired those type of deaths unconsciously. “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6
So in comes the material world barging in with a whole lot of negative stuff fully ingrained into your consciousness as to who and what you are. It tells you that you are your body with all its attendant pains and sorrows. It gives you material solutions in the form of medicines, natural remedies, character improvement, insurance policies, comforts, debts, credit cards, etc. They are two different worlds….the world of spirit and the world of matter. One is eternal life and love, the other is toil, trouble and death. Then, in come “spiritual” solutions from religions, which in reality, unless they are blessed by the Spirit of God, they are for the most part teaching material ways to merit your way back to God, that is, man does what he does best as a mortal: he tries to fix a spiritual problem with a material solution. At best they are temporary solutions.
Only Spirit can transform and activate dead matter to function and look alive. The reflection of a man in a pool of water is not the real man. If we want the reflection to assume a different position, the real man must assume it first. Of course, in a human body the reflection is much more intricate, but it is there nonetheless. If I make it a practice to identify with who the Scriptures say I AM, then I have all the power and freedom to act like the man standing before the pool of water has to, to make his reflection in the water do and appear as he does.
The Bible gives a clear spiritual view of man and his relation to God and his fellowman. With these great spiritual helps one has the grace and spiritual help to navigate the spirit-soul to its oneness with God. Jesus prayed saying, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3. And Jesus said about us, “You are Gods.” John 10:34
