我的悲傷卻汩汩湧出：譯薩里十四行詩
薩里伯爵名為亨利．霍華德（Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey），是英國文藝復興時期的重要人物。繼懷亞特（Thomas Wyatt the Elder），薩里也將法文、義大利文詩歌 — — 尤其是佩脫拉克 — — 翻譯為英語，更確立了英文十四行詩的格律。我選擇的這首詩網路上唯一找得到的幾個中譯版本都翻譯得不甚完美，因此我也自己試著翻譯這首薩里改編自佩脫拉克的詩歌，並試著按照abab的韻式押韻。薩里的詩其實與佩脫拉克原詩相差不少，但骨幹仍然相同。
網路上看到的版本將hart翻譯為雄鹿，而buck翻譯為公羊，然而查詢大多數字典，buck雖然可指許多雄性動物，但主要指涉仍是鹿，很可能hart和buck只是為了換詞，也可能是指不同的鹿。

翠綠為丘陵以及山谷換上新衣；

紅鹿將舊的犄角掛上圍籬，
雄鹿在灌木叢中拋開冬裳；
魚群身披新鱗悠游在水裡；

The nightingale with feathers new she sings;

Summer is come, for every spray now springs;
