Incredibly important concept — part of a family of related concepts, I think:

  • Faster is not always better
  • More is not always better
  • More productive is not always doing more

True productivity is about effectiveness (doing the right things, doing them well) not mere efficiency.

In each case (possessions, speed, and accomplishments), we do well to focus on the true value, not just faster and more. It’s a harder metric — but a much better one.
