I’ve been meaning to write a post about this for some time, because I think having to fire someone is the single best way to improve at hiring.
That may sound self-centered, but I say it because having to fire someone makes you really realize the trust that they’ve given you. Even with the most troublesome teammates, some bond is bound to grow.
Going through that experience made me realize I had to be more careful with growing our team.
