I wanted to highlight that prior to the adoption of Chrome and the Omnibox (I note the Firefox comment however in terms of browser market share Firefox is niche when compared to Chrome) the default behavior was first to visit Google (or other search engines) and perform the search, generating a brand search and subsequent organic visit to the website. However now, the Omnibox enables users to search directly from the address bar and visit sites directly, bypassing Google.
