I’m not a climate scientist but I am a geologist with a zoology degree, as close to being an environmental scientist as one could be when graduating in the early 1970s. Having studied some/much of the available evidence, I can’t see global temperatures rising more than another 2 or 3 degrees Celsius and, for every negative, there will be a positive, although not in the same geographical areas. Yes, we need to respond to our unacceptable GHG emissions but, as recent research has shown, we have decades before the environmental impacts get out of hand, by which time global population should have stabilised and then begun to drop.
