Sabbath thoughts from a Dad

Started a new reading in my Bible app this morning on becoming a fulfilled Father. It immediately hit home and also ties in closely to some of the Stoic readings I’ve been doing. What will my legacy be when I fall asleep at the end? I don’t know, I have hopes, but I don’t know.

My thought on this Sabbath morning is that I want those I love to know and feel that I loved them and that I loved Jesus and that I desperately wanted to help people in this world with the gifts I had been given.

Here’s scripture that especially hit home:

James 4:14 NIV

14Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
