Seems like

Seems like every time I hit new inspiration, I start a new blog. :P The trail of petered-out blogs in my wake is in the tens, at least. Anyway, either one of them will stick one day or I will combine them all like Voltron into an epic monument to windbagginess.

I’ve been reading one of the big names in early retirement, Mr. Money Mustache. I like his frank, no-nonsense style. He shames me rightly for things like letting debt hang over my head and living paycheck to paycheck when I don’t have to. So here’s my first attempt at transparency and process.

Debt:
personal loan: $195
school loan 1: $581
school loan 2: $3537
credit card 1: $1743
credit card 2: $2777
co-signed debt 1: $8204
co-signed debt 2: $3241

Assets:
cash: ~$1000
IRA: $2000

Fixed monthly expenses:
rent: $700
Metrocard: $112
Google storage $2
hotspot wifi $4 (might cancel this)
mom’s cell phone $46

Other expenses: groceries, cell phone

I just got off contract with ATT and am in the process of porting my number to Airvoice. I’m going to try their $10/mo plan (no data) and see if I can survive. So already, I’m $60 ahead next month. I don’t budget at all so I have no idea what my other costs are. By tracking them here, I hope then to cut back in as many areas as I can.

Goal 1: be debt free in 2015
Goal 2: move out of NYC
Goal 3: make Doubly Korean profitable
