English Premier League Football Betting Offers
The new English football season is nearly upon us, and that means that we will soon be getting inundated with new customer offers, as the bookmakers try to secure are custom with sign up offers.
These offers usually come in the form of enhanced odds offers. So for example, Manchester United might be a short priced 1/3 to win their match against Watford on Saturday, so the bookmakers will offer new customers (only) enhanced odds of 3/1 on Man Utd to beat Watford.
These offers are usually limited to a maximum bet of £5 or £10, depending on the bookmaker, and the enhanced part of the winnings are generally paid in free bets.
This is unfortunate, as in the good old days, you might have got all your winnings paid in cash.
The breakdown of your winnings (using the example odds above) would go like this — you place your tenner on Man Utd at odds of 3/1 (3/1 for new customers), Man Utd win, so you get your £40 back in a combination of cash and free bets.
Your cash return is £13 — this is your £10 stake returned, with £3 winnings (at 1/3). You would then get £27 in free bets, the remainder of the enhanced odds of 3/1 offer for new customers.
So as you can see, the good old days when you would have got £40 back in cold hard cash were better. It’s still not that bad though, as you can easily turn £27 into around £20 cash using matched betting techniques.
You can do matched betting yourself, or you if you aren’t sure, there are subscription services that can do it for you.
The curtain raiser to the English season takes place this Sunday 7th August, when FA Cup holders Manchester United, take on unlikely Premier League Champions Leicester City, in the Community Shield at Wembley (kick-off 4pm).
There is bound to be offers aplenty on this match, with some probably for 90 minutes betting, and some to win the Shield outright.
As well as getting yourself a few quid from enhanced odds offers, now might also be a good time to check out some football betting systems that work.
Pre (Premier League) season can be an especially good time to pick up some bargains. I can remember systems like Pre Match Trading offering a good sign up deal this time last year.
As well as the usual weekly, monthly, and six monthly subscriptions, the guys over at PMT did a season long special, but you only had a limited time specific period to purchase in, so keep your eye out for that this summer.
