PEAR
pɛː/
noun
1. a grouping of three socks; two that match and one that is slightly (inversely) odd™.

Early in the year 2015, I was scrolling through the popular page of Instagram, as one does, and found myself looking at a picture of a unique pair of pink socks covered in squiggles. I then came to find out that this brand (aka Odd Pears) actually sales theses gnarly socks. However, I had no money at the time to support these beautiful socks and find them a home.
Later in the summer of that year I became a lifeguard at a local waterpark. Midday working, not paying attention to any of the screaming kids, I realized I was finally able to potentially claim my own pair of radical Odd Pear socks. Odd Pear socks would come to be my first ever purchase with money I earned with my own two hands.

Personally, Odd Pears is so much more valuable than a simple sock company. The brand, values, and creativity in Odd Pears is represented through every single odd sock. Did I mention that they are a great conversation starter.
I have currently and have always lived in the United States, but I recently traveled to the Caribbean on a cruise. Through the simple pattern and logo attached to my sock, I was able to connect to Australians familiar to the brand. The unfamiliar people with Odd Pears were even more blown out of the water by their style.
I personally connect with the mismatching socks to represent my personality. I am a 16 year old filmmaker from Arkansas who is a mismatch in society. My local city surrounds me with doctors and lawyers, but I’m a young girl who loves her bike and storytelling through film. I wear the colorful socks to help portray my story.
What will you do with your socks?
