Why Looking ‘Professional’ Is So Much More Expensive for Women

I think women normally enforce the dress code on other women. And I don’t believe in playing by the “rules”. If you are good enough at what you do, then you don’t have to. That being said, it’s possible that SF culture “requires” certain superfluous things like manicures, but its your choice to live there. Maybe you can’t get that exact job elsewhere, but there are successful people all around the world and they work in a variety of industries. It comes down to what you want out of life. I choose comfort, 40 hour work weeks, and living in an affordable city. I still consider myself to be highly successful.
