A few words of my text !

Silas was a cop. Even better than that, he was the commander of the special brigade in charge of inter-worlds cases. The SBCIWC. How can I explain what SBCIWC is, without starting long and tortuous explanations? Let’s be simple. The ancestor of the SBCIWC, the military division of strange cases, MDSC, was founded in 1799, by Napoleon himself, after a serious problem between the fairy world and the human world. So far, this kind of problems was solved by the notable in charge of the concerned area and it suited everyone. Except that, in 1798, the king of the fairy world himself went to the Consul because his beloved daughter had been kidnapped. Both worlds’ police had to work together and it nearly cost the life of the unfortunate young fairy. Napoleon decided therefore, in agreement with the king of Fairyland, that it was time to work together and, after the signing of a treaty between them, created the MDSC. The SBCIWC took over in the 30s following the redesign of the police department.

Erick Silas had been the head of this service for 6 years. At almost 40, he owned it thanks to his exemplary efficiency and his past in the fairy world. For if Silas was a fully normal Human, he had been abandoned and raised in the fairy world. Who, better than him, could manage the Fairies’ legendary susceptibility? He knew them well, knew their world and their customs and traditions. Impossible for him to commit any faux pas that could endanger the peace between the two worlds. However, as the contenders for SBCIWC were rare, he was more often in the field than behind his desk. Besides, he had received an invitation from his fairy counterpart by butterfly-mail.
