Why Did Bethel College Ask a Bunch Of Graduates to Re-Enroll?

Welcome to the Bethel College social media relaunch! We are renewing and rebranding our online presence. Why? Because we want to reflect the Bethel experience in a way we never have before. We want to tell the real story of what it’s like to be at Bethel. How does it feel to realize it’s Chicken Tender Friday? How does one survive finals? Which dorm truly reigns supreme?

The quirky stuff, yes. But also, the serious stuff. What is God doing in the hearts of students here? How does Bethel aid students dealing with mental illness? What are we supposed to do when we doubt our faith?

We want to talk about it all.

A New Approach: The Return of the College Grads

To properly convey what life at Bethel is like, we’re bringing in a team to shimmy onto campus and tweet/gram/snap about Bethel from all sides. We’re partnering with J2 Marketing to send six young professionals into our classrooms to take pictures, post about the daily happenings, and share the students’ side of the story. We want to give prospective students an accurate picture of what attending Bethel looks likes — the fun parts, the messy parts, the crazy parts. And most of all, the parts that will equip them to achieve their dreams and goals.

What better way to convey what attending Bethel is like than to attend Bethel? And for many of the J2 team, this means re-attending. Four out of the six of our J2 Social Media Managers graduated from Bethel. Now they’re back and armed with cameras.

You’ll find them in a variety of classes — from history to writing to self-defense to MBA business classes — capturing glimpses of Bethel from every angle. If you’re a student or alumni and you see them wandering around campus: share your story. Tell them what “Life at Bethel” means to you. We want to hear your experience.

Stay Tuned!

We are so excited to be telling Bethel’s story in this new capacity so we can show the world an in-depth view of the heart and home that is Bethel College.

To follow this new endeavor, you can find us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat. And don’t forget to follow our Medium page, obviously.
