Debunking “Trans Women Are Not Women” Arguments
Julia Serano

This is using an exception to suggest a commonly shared experience of cis women is not important. The fact most cis women are able to bear children is a huge part of our oppression as a sex class. The fact that women who cannot bear children (cis or trans) are also oppressed, sometimes on the assumption that they could do so, doesn’t take away from the fact it is assumed potential to bear children that is a main factor of the oppression.
