I understand that completely, Victoria. Writing about family and family dynamics is hard! And your point about men and wet towels can be generational AND societal. We still don't teach most boys/men to do the household chores. My boys watched me be a stay at home mom and their dad sit while I cooked and cleaned the kitchen so that pattern is hardwired subconsciously. The divorce actually HELPED them learn to pitch in around the house, and learn to be good roommates in college, so there is yet another silver lining to my divorce.
I so enjoy reading your work, Victoria. Thanks for sharing it. :)
