Simply set up reminders at whatever times you would like reminded throughout the day.

You will only be reminded at times that are relevant. For example, if you only want to perform the habit on weekdays, you will not receive reminders on the weekends.

Often miss your reminder at 2:00 pm? No sweat, create a nag alert for that time. Nag is a reminder with a bit of an attitude. When you select nag, you will get repeated notifications until you record an action.

Snooze allows you to tell Better Habits “not now”. You can set up custom snooze times for each reminder. For example, if you are used to needing just ten more minutes when you are reminded to drink water, set up a snooze time for ten minutes.

Combining Nag and Snooze can be really powerful. Here’s a more complex example…

You want to be reminded to drink water. You set up multiple reminders throughout the day. You know that at 10 am and 2 pm you will likely be pretty distracted, so you tell Better Habits to nag you every five minutes. You also know that at 2 pm, you may not be able to get away, so you set a Snooze time of thirty minutes.

Here’s how the scenario could play out…

10 am rolls around, you get a notification and sure enough, you’re distracted and miss it. You get another one at 10:05… still distracted. You get the third one at 10:10 and for this one, you see it and drink some water.

Later that day at 2 pm you get a notification, you see it, but you’re in a meeting. Not wanting to be nagged, you hit snooze. It’s 2:30, you’re just wrapping up the meeting and get a notification… you miss it. Because the reminder is set to nag, you get another one at 2:35. You see it, you drink water, you feel hydrated, you feel supported, you feel happy.
