Thanks for the response Romain. Really good point and I totally get it. You’re correctly looking at the facts and I must say, it’s one of the best presented article I’ve read recently in that regard.

I suppose my point was somewhat more wishy washy. Dust was created to prevent the kinds of privacy issues you’re talking about from happening. Granted, it doesn’t stop them (or any service) using the meta data for less than ethical reasons but considering the reason the company exists in the first place, does that lessen the concern? Maybe not. I don’t know.

On the flip side, it’s almost a running joke how much Facebook and Google know about you. That doesn’t make it any better but at least you know where you stand.
