An Impossibility

Peppered with beings of differing grace and intelligence,

The world seems an unusual, often unforgiving place.

The separation period

From the people you love, from situations marked by

Passion and adoration

Can feel unbearable; bona fide tests of endurance.

Said to be of greatest complexity, humans

Are often surprised, amazed by their lack of emotional control

Unable to grasp

The enormity of loving so completely.

Forwards we stride, nonetheless

Unified in our hope, our promise to never relent

To the impossibilities evident in all aspects of life.

Challenges presented with fierce regularity,

A collection of suffering

Only to be met with

The enlightening knowledge that we can be brave a little while longer

That we can find that light

That we can achieve

The most unexpected impossibility.
