I wasn’t going to do a review of Loki(TV 2021–2023) after the season 2 finale released because i knew words would not be enough to express how great this masterpiece of cinema truly is.

But i realized that i just needed some time to recover from the emotional wreck the finale left me with. The time has now passed.

Wow, Wow, Wow. The season 2 of Loki was so brilliantly crafted it’s hard to choose just one part of the show. All the aspects of the show are so unique and well done every time you see a scene you are stunned by the characters and the set the music. There are times that it feels like the show might not be good but they get you interested back in a snap.

There was a time where i thought that i would wait for the entire show to release and then binge watch it, but the show just became too good to skip it every week. With both the shows i wasn’t expecting anything but in a good way because i didn’t want to theorize what would happen and just go on a journey.

Now let’s get into some details.

Since season 1, all the characters shown whether they are playing a good or a bad person have been written so uniquely that the viewer is able think about them and form a connection with them. Characters like Ravona Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha Raw), Casey (Eugene Cordero), Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) and other side characters were also able to form some connection to the viewer while also being an integral part to the story.

The main characters like Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) and Mobius(Owen Wilson) are also written so well. Both Loki and Sylvie being essentially being the same, are poles apart in so many ways making them both complex and unique characters.

Season 1 did a solid job in making someone like Loki whose a villain into a complex character with a lot of emotional development.

Now season 2 was also fabulous. The new characters like Ouroboros (Ke Huy Quan) and Victor Timely (Jonathan Majors) were written so well. Jonathan Majors did such a wonderful portrayal of a necessary evil type person. He did do an amazing job of Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man 3, but the movie was horrible, the only good thing was Kang.

The whole concept of the time slipping and how it connects to events in the past and future was so easy to follow. I am so happy we finally got to see a Mobius Jet-ski scene. The ending was again so beautiful, He is all alone sitting on a throne but i believe he is happy because he gets to see his friends go on with their life. His sacrifice is for the greater good is what makes him the best. I also saw a twitter post that showed the connection to why the time stone is green, if it’s true and they use the coincidence it is just going to be so wonderful. Also feel sad for Mobius because now he has lost a near and dear friend.

The story was so seamlessly simple and easy to follow, you didn’t need knowledge of past MCU works just Loki season 1. Making a hit show during times of strike and also while Disney and Marvel aren’t performing that well is hard because you will have higher ups in your ear trying to make it politically accurate and woke just to pander to a small online community. With characters like Loki it is essential to stick to their raison d’etre, and i am so glad they did, Loki will not only go down as they best character but the show will also go down as the best.

Loki season 1–10/10

Loki season 2–10/10

Loki season 2 Finale — 10/10
