This is paralleled in the for-profit health insurance industry

This has been my greatest disappointment in Obama as president. Perhaps naively, I had incredibly high hopes for him in 2008 when he campaigned on a promise of single-payer universal healthcare. But once he got into office, his true claim that “all Americans are entitled to universal healthcare” quickly morphed into “all Americans are entitled to universal access to health insurance,” which is a completely different thing. After promising to kill the parasite of the for-profit health insurance industry, Obamacare instead enshrined it. I am still screaming.
