When Hillary Clinton called half of Trumps followers “Deplorables,” she immediately defined the term to mean those who are “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic.” I think we can all agree those tendencies are, in fact, deplorable. So, among Trump’s followers, if you are not racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, or Islamophobic, stand down. She wasn’t talking about you. If you are racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, or Islamophobic, you are, even by the standard of most red-blooded American Republicans, deplorable. Own it.
