Interesting viewpoint. Here’s how I think about it: The JavaScript front-end ecosystem is an 800 pound gorilla that’s been lifting weights, practicing everyday for 30 years and taking steroids from millions of software teams around the world (including many of the best engineering teams alive today). Maybe one day there will be somebody out there who is strong enough to fight the gorilla and hold their own. It’s possible but not easy to go toe-to-toe with the King Kong in his own jungle.

I’ll confess I am also biased. I love JavaScript. Engineers who try to use normal programming patterns from other languages (like classical OO programming) in JavaScript are in for a very rough ride and usually grow to hate it. Earlier in my career, that was me. I didn’t really embrace using JavaScript or respect it much as a language until I learned about the Two Pillars of JavaScript: https://medium.com/javascript-scene/the-two-pillars-of-javascript-ee6f3281e7f3.
