Postmortem: Every Frame a Painting

I really appreciated reading this, Tony and Taylor. I’ve been publishing content for about 3 months, but I spent an entire year prior just trying to make one video I was proud of.

I’ve written dozens of pages that turned into 3 I was proud of. I’ve scrapped entire completed videos because I didn’t enjoy watching them myself. I’ve gotten tired, and angry, I’ve wanted to quit, but I watch channels like yours that make it look easy. At the end of the day, no one knows what you throw away, the final product falls out of the aether. I think I have inefficient habits, but I’m happy when I read your ‘good habits’ section and see some overlap (and a lot more good advice).

I’ve looked up to the both of you (unknowingly, Taylor), because your quality is something I aspire to. Having read this, I look up to you even more, understanding that the final product isn’t fully formed in Tony’s head when he opens up a word processor. Quality takes time, practice, and a whole lot of patience.

I’m inspired by how much you’ve both put into this channel, and every minute of dedication shows. I wish you both the best, and know you’re influence has made the internet a better place.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
