Day 1.

The beginning of a new year. A blank slate. A new chapter.

At this moment, there is no “yesterday,” only 364 “tomorrows.” No regrets, just possibilities. No should haves, but limitless can be’s.

For 2018:

I will be grateful for so many blessings, hopeful for what can be, and determined to do something each day to make it better than the one before.

I will have a relentless focus on excelling at everything I pour myself into.

I will love and support my family more than ever before.

I will pursue the love of my life as if it were our first date.

I will re-discover my calling. To search my heart and soul to rekindle who I am, who I was meant to be, and the impact I am destined to have on others and this world.

I will grow exponentially in my professional and personal life. My present station is merely a stop on a longer journey and not the destination.

To lead others to new heights and allow them to see what they are truly capable of. This is my greatest gift and I refuse to bury it. It will be used to make a difference in the lives of others.

The past may be who we are, but the future is who we can be. We have but one life, so live without regret. Give all you have to everyone you can. Love valiantly. Live audaciously.

Listen to others without distraction. Truly hear what the world has to say to you. Sometimes it comes in shouts, but most often it comes in a faint whisper. Listen for that whisper as it may be the answer to your questions, your desires, your prayers. Think by yourself daily. Stop to reflect on who you are and what you want to be in this life.

Envision with great detail what your life looks like one year from now. Five years from now. Ten years from now. See it. Feel it. Hear it. Do this daily and your life will begin to transform to what you envision.

Focus on the life you desire and let nothing deter you from becoming who you want to be.

Commit to your future self because you are the only one who can.

Whatever you do, give more of yourself. One more mile. One more rep. One more embrace. Give all you’ve got, then give more. No one ever regretted giving more of themselves.

This year can literally be WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO MAKE OF IT. The outcome is not up to your boss, your colleagues, your company. It’s not up to your friends or family. It’s 100% in your hands. If you fail, the responsibility is yours to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back into this battle we call life. If you succeed, you will do it knowing your relentless pursuit of excellence made it possible.

The slate is blank, you have the pen and ink. Start writing your 2018 story today. Where you end is within your mind, heart, soul, and strength.

May 2018 be the greatest chapter yet in your life story.
