Message of Easter Beyond Easter Eggs or Easter Bunnies

Easter is the third most important event according to the Bible, first two being the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ (Christmas) and Crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ (Good Friday).

Easter is the celebration of the victory of the Lord Christ over death i.e. rising from the death. According to the Bible, the message of Easter is the most fundamental historical fact upon which the message of the gift of eternal life in Lord Jesus Christ is anchored.

Easter is the symbol of the power of resurrection of the Lord. The same power of resurrection is operational in the lives of those willing to live a life of faith in Lord Jesus Christ.

So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”

“O Death, where is your sting?

O Hades, where is your victory?”
