The picture shows a man day dreams an India 10 years back , an India that does not have Roads , Banks , Airports, ATM’s . As he comes back out of his dream he now finds Airport, ATMs, Mobiles , Highways and goes onto thank our current government for providing all of this to us.

Now I am pretty sure based on my sample group that I hang around with in office and outside office hardly 5% of Indians or even less would thank our government for providing us with these amenities which they claim. The reasons are simple: If Congress was not there would we have not achieved these and it is because of Congress ‘shashan‘ only we were able to achieve this. Also the much bigger fact is ‘Do Indians not deserve these amenities which we have now’. The undercurrent of the advertisement itself suggests that if you are richer now and are experiencing any modern facility it is becase of Congress government and not of your hard work you have put in your offices , colleges , in field or in home and that is where lies the main problem with Congress.

In 80’s and 90’s people of India might be depended on government to provide them with mostly everything from jobs to food because that is how the government functioned . They keep more and more people relied upon themselves so that people have to vote for them again and again to avail these facilities. This same strategy can be seen today also with bills like food security, MNEREGA and all . These bills are nothing but making working class more reliant on government. So instead of making schemes like giving 120 days of work and free food, Government should develop small scale industries which make people more self-sustained and they can hone their skills. By this method they can learn more and earn themselves a respectable living with integrity and pass on those skills to future generation. This makes people less reliant on government and in the process government can gain by creating more tax paying citizens which government can ultimately use to setup more small scale industries. This will create an Eco system which will automatically create responsible citizen and more revenues for government

Self-sustainment is the solution and not freebies. Proverb ‘teach a man to fish and he can feed himself for life time’ is apt here. So when Congress says thank us for giving you mobile phones or bank and ATMs they are really telling us that you guys are incompetent and it is us who have provided people of India everything . Your hard work and taxes you pay with your hard work amounts to nothing. Congress still perceives themselves as zamindars and people of India as their aasamies who owe every piece of land to them .

There advertisement really shows wrong message. Instead they could have gone on to show something more vibrant and positive. Things such as growth of our service sector, growth of our agriculture output because that is where most Indians work and toil and earn money . They pay taxes to government which in turn is expetected to use prudently in order to provide us better infrastructure. I guess they are doing more damage to themselves then good then showing there way of Bharat Nirman.
