Github Pages will silently not update if you have not verified your email.

Just posting this out there in case some lonely soul someday Google’s “Github Pages not updating after commit” or something along those lines. I eventually found a mention of this on Stack Overflow, but it was just in the range of issues I was thinking of.

But yeah, if you are pushing up a Github Pages page, it will totally work at first, but future updates will just silently not show up on the page if you have not verified your email. The commits will show up in the repo just fine, but none of the changes will show up on the page itself. I eventually realized the issue but Github was wholly not helpful. Zero errors, zero warning signs.
